    • RE: Reading help

      @Stacers said in Reading help:

I am new to practicing tarot and have mostly been doing questions, yes or no pulls.
4 nights ago I asked a question about a guy who I've been in a confusing relationship with. I was trying to get some clarity on it.
I pulled the page of cups.
I didn't really know how to interpret it, so the next night same question. Pulled same card.
This has now happened 4x in a row.. I'm not asking again bc obviously this single card is trying to tell me something, I just don't know what!

      Hiya,
What are you actually asking the cards? About this guy or is it now about this card, the Page of Cups?
      47.jpg
What is interesting about this card?
      This:-
      Page of Cups

      Page of Cups
Astrological Correspondence: (Pisces the Fish): February 19–March 20
      Keywords: emotional, intuitive, intimate, loving
Description: The Page or Princess of Cups can have two meanings. The first meaning indicates a young child or woman who is sensitive and intuitive. The other interpretation implies that a message will soon be coming. This message may not be blatantly obvious as it could occur from the most unconnected circumstances. A young person or one with a youthful cast of mind, gentle and loving, artistic and insightful. If a girl, somewhat tomboyish, if a boy, then somewhat feminine. This person could be emotionally vulnerable and needs affection.
Upright Associations: Gentle, kind disposition, reflective, poetic, quiet and artistic. Intuitive, sensitive, beginning relationships, birth, emotional and/or spiritual growth.
Reversed Associations: Emotional confusion, temptation, deceit, vulnerability. Frivolousness, spoiled, daydreaming, no peace. Immaturity, insensitive, over active.

      Pisces
After people have been given the gift of knowledge, they soon begin to realize that the more they know, the more they don't know. At the vast immensity of this gulf of awareness, which is yet to be understood, they begin to ask spiritual questions such as:

β€’ Who is responsible for the rules under which the universe was built?
β€’ Is there more to reality than meets the eye?
β€’ Why are these unfounded feelings so strong?

Pisces seeks to stretch beyond the reality of the here and now, and search for clues to past, present, and future worlds, which is one of the reasons why Pisces normally responds to psychic impressions rather than cold, hard facts. In astrology, Pisces rules the twelfth house and is co-ruled by Jupiter and Neptune. In Tarot, Pisces is said to rule The Moon in the Major Arcana. More appropriately, Pisces is likely to co-rule The Moon and Lilith, the Earth's second esoteric satellite, and the 8, 9, and 10 of Cups in the Minor Arcana.
I hope this helps in sorting this problem out, then good! If not well I can't help any further unless you explain what you want to know about this guy.

Good luck with learning the Tarot.

      Hi phoenix,
You certainly know how to make things simple for yourself. πŸ€”
I'm intrigued at what you've said and how you've reacted to your situations.
So let me get this straight...
You break up with your partner, block him and while you're in a foul mood, do reading for yourself?
Is this correct? If it is, then so many things are wrong with the way you've handled this situation.
I'm not going to go into the why's and wherefores and I am not going to interpret your reading but what I will do is do a reading for you instead.
If that's OK with you, please let me know and I'll get one done for you asap.

Hold on, stay safe and a big hug. πŸ€—

      @Beginner Good choice.
I knew of the undercurrents but not the details and that shook me. I wanted you to just rethink your strategy before you made your final decision. I'm relieved and settled now that you have given me some more detail. I had this vision of a third party trying to put a spanner in the works, which in turn could have cause some financial difficulties for you. Now I know that you have all avenues covered I can now say farewell, bon voyage and wish you both all the luck and happiness for the future. God bless and stay safe. Big hugs for Xmas πŸ€—πŸ€—

      @Beginner
That 8 of Cups is certainly playing its part in all this!
I want to look at my first two cards, the 6 of Wands first. Battles won and lost, but no wars won. So only half a job done.

      6 of Wands
while many interpretations of this card indicate victory and good fortune, this achievement could be misleading because, although we are on our way, success "the coveted award" has not actually been achieved. Therefore, caution must be exercised because some unexpected events could arise to thwart the anticipated outcome. This is were It stopped me in my tracks and I asked you to rephrase your question. I know you have made up your mind but need answer as to which to choose, well the 8 of Cups has told you but I think you may have overlooked the answer as I have done for many years, when the * of Cups appears. Many think he's walking away from the situation because he doesn't know the answer. Watch...

      8 of Cups
      Keywords: seeking, searching.
The Eight of Cups indicates walking into the unknown. An emotional risk is being taken and one never knows whether it will bear fruit. Another interpretation is to set limits on emotional involvement. Sometimes we can put too much emotional energy into relationships or projects, only to be disappointed. It is then that we need to distance ourselves, walk away if necessary. Don't be afraid to leave the past behind. Travel. There is plenty more in the world to see and experience. If you are disillusioned with your life now, take heart, because the future promises to be brighter. Follow your heart and do what you truly desire.
And there it is. GO WITH YOUR HEART NOT YOUR HEAD.
So whatever one you choose, it's the one that feels right that IS RIGHT.
Your going to make the correct choice now I know it.
Good luck and have a great holiday. Good luck in all you do.

Would you still like me to ask the question you requested?

I'm so sorry I've been so busy. The Xmas rush has been more like an avalanche this year.
Yes please, could you do another reading asking that question. Regardlessly of what you get, only do one reading.
The reading that I did was this:-
This spread consists of 4 cards laid out in sequence left to right:- 1,2,3,4 with the card's placement described as follows:-

Card 1 : Me: The person seeking an answer.
Card 2 : Known: What is already known regarding the question.
Card 3 : Unknown: The unknown. Any obstacles or issues that may be hidden from the seeker.
Card 4 : Outcome: What may be the outcome if allowed to manifest should the seeker choose the right option.

      The cards laid where.

      1. 6 of Wands.
      2. 8 of Cups
      3. 2 of Cups
      4. The Lovers

I'll try to get back before Xmas Eve to follow this up with you. If not I wish you all the best for the New Year.πŸ€—πŸ’–

      @Beginner
      Hi,
A couple of things before I attempt to do a reading for you. I need to ask, is this a personal question, i.e. is the decision yours alone to make or is there family to consider, a partner and children involved. The reason I'm asking this question is because of the cards you pulled in the first spread. This is very important at this stage because if you, or should I say your conscience is mixed up or focused your cards will react in the same way. Simply put, your thoughts influence your cards throughout a reading and if you're not clear in your mind and totally focused your cards will indicate whatever's in your thoughts at that point in time.
"The cards never lie!" The cards are a tool to help and assist you, just like a painter using brushes and paint. You have to see the picture in your mind of how you want the question answered. If you have no picture then the cards can't paint it for you.
Another point that is relevant here, are the actual questions you're asking. Try to simplify them so that the cards can flow easily and tell the story you want to see because as the cards get laid, one by one, they are not just painting a picture they are actually telling you a story and that is why you feel stumped.
If my senses are correct the two readings have both given you the right answers for the two complex questions you asked.

I've done your readings but I would love for you to just try one more time for me please. This time, do one reading and ask this question:-
"Should I go or should I stay?"
Give your cards a very good shuffle and make sure they are both upright and reversed, about 50/50. Keep your mind clear and focus on the picture that your HEART truly wants and desires to see. When you feel ready and you have that picture FIXED in your mind, stop shuffling and put your full deck of cards, face down on the table.
You are now going to do a Yes/No spread.
Using your LEFT HAND, ONLY deal 3 cards, left to right in front of you.
If 2 or more cards come out, right way up, then it's a YES!
If 2 or more cards come out, upside down, then it's a NO!
This should also answer the real, burning question that has been on your mind for some time now.

If this has helped, please let me know. Thank you and may God bless you. πŸ’–

      Hi,
      Wow!
Normally, on here I would do a Tarot reading to try and solve your situation but I think this time I need to try something else. I hope you don't mind, it might turn out to be a bit lengthy.

I know just how you feel because I've been there many times throughout my life, I never seem to choose the right path to follow and end up on my backside wondering how I got there. I did meet a man in the 90's who gave me a job on his Tarot line, even though I had never picked a card up in my life. He didn't just teach me how to read the cards he taught me so much about myself. Every time he noticed me having a bad day, be it money, partners, family etc he would take me to one side and ask what the problem was and by the time we finished our little chat I felt absolutely replenished and full of vitality. He just listened to my problem and then at the end of the talk he would give me a friendly hug, look me straight in the eye and say, "I've just taken your problem, wrapped it up with a positive thought and now you will be fine."

Now you talk about positive affirmations and I read a book many years ago called, The Game of Life and How to Play it, which I tried to work with for several months but it ended up on the bookshelf gathering dust. So, yes I have been there too and yet I still can't work out how my Boss on the Tarot line just listened, gave me no advice yet with one hug and repeating that same phrase made me feel like I didn't have a care in the world. And the amazing thing was, it lasted for months until I made a wrong choice or major decision in my life.
For the next twenty odd years I looked for this man every time I ended up in unhappy situations until around February 2020 when I met an old girl friend who I worked with on that Tarot line. We arranged to get together and she invited me round to her place for dinner with her family and to have a long talk about old times.

Here's the punch line! After hours of talking and a few glasses of wine, I told her what the Boss used to do when I couldn't cope with my problems and she said, "didn't you know? He did that for most of us." He knew that if any of his staff or workforce was not 100 percent they could not give their best readings. So he would keep an eye out for signs indicating stress and worry on all his staff, day in and day out. These little chats he had with people were nothing actually but he knew that, by noticing a person under whatever pressure was affecting them he had to get them to take their mind off it and this was his technique.
I have used this technique to help people over the past two years, especially those who have been affected through COVID, whatever the situation, losses, hardships and just pure misery.
It's as if I have become a trash collected, I take away people's rubbish by listening, wrapping it up then dumping it on my imaginary rubbish dump.

I have read your story, wrapped it up with a positive thought and while I have been writing this reply, given you a virtual hug and I believe, now you will be fine.

You have hit the nail on the head! The Keys here and with any spread, are the card placement meanings...
Especially this one:- Card 5: Present and Future manifestations - What is to come, unless changed by the client.
      Ace of Coins
      64 (1).png
What is to come unless changed by the client?
There is your question. What do you want to change?
What we have forgotten in today's modern life is the usefulness of a single coin. We see, even today, at the start of a soccer match, the referee take out a coin and toss it in the air to make a choice. I'm not suggesting you do this! πŸ˜„ AE Waite was very keen on symbolism in his cards and within divination as a whole. He believed that the spread was the culmination of the whole reading, it brought every part together, just like a jigsaw. If a piece is missing, then how can we see the whole picture.
Sometimes, it may take that last piece in the puzzle or that last card in a reading that suddenly pulls everything together.
As my Tarot teacher used to say, "it's not reading the cards that are difficult, it tends to be the people you're reading them for". I'm speaking metaphorically by the way. 😊

So I think you are spot on here, but just before I finish, look at that card for a few moments.
Now take a long walk down that path and have a look through that open archway at the end. Also, while you're taking that slow stroll towards your future, give that coin a few flips.

Stay safe and well. πŸŒ πŸ’–

      Hi,

I have a connection with someone and it seems that not matter what I do I am always pulled to them.

      So what don't you understand?
As far as I can see this reading is certainly giving you a big hint at what you're supposed to do.
I would say that the 2 of Coins is asking you to make a choice, as for the rest of the cards, well there's something very wrong with this connection you have with this person. It seems very unhealthy and it's your decision at the end of the day as to what you do.
I went quite deep into this reading and to tell you the truth, I didn't enjoy what I was seeing.
Just be very careful, that's all I can say.

I hope this helped and that you do make the right choice for your future wellbeing.
      Stay safe, please. β™₯

    • Focus on the 10 of Coins

      Focus 1.jpg
Card 1: The card that is being Focused on.
      10 of Coins

      Astrological Correspondence: Mercury in Virgo
      Keywords: affluent, wealth, status, accumulation.
Description: The Ten of Coins indicates family money or enterprise. If the querent is self-employed, it is a positive card because this shows he or she will be working for the future and earning money for themselves.
Upright Associations: Family, emotional and financial stability, an inheritance. Responsibility, family matters, genealogy, profitable investments, blessings, legacy.
Reversed Associations: A robbery, a loss, disharmony, petty quarrels, disorganisation. Family and/or financial instability. Demands and over committed to family and friends.

Card 2: Present and Future thoughts - What the client thinks could be the Outcome.
      Devil

      Astrological Correspondence: Capricorn
Keywords: materialism (sex and money), lies, grounding, slavery, bondage.
Description: The card of the Devil represents the darker side of humankind, all that we are shameful and base and that we avoid to confront. Its imagery connects to sexuality, irrationality, obsession, and addiction. Being enslaved by our fears and desires we find it hard to let go of unhealthy relationships, addictive behaviour, excessive attachment to material things, obsession with power. Accepting the shadowy side in us can help channel the energetic powers that this card also represents. Understanding that the chains that tie us down can indeed be lifted by confronting our dark side, and not letting self-hatred and shame take over empowers us to be free.
Upright Associations: Love of money or physical wealth, a tendency to hoard. Uncontrolled lust or anger. Sexual obsession, manic behaviour, addiction, illusions.
Qualities of this card in a negative situation include excessive ambition, rigidity, and abuse of power in the emotional as well as the material realm.
Reversed Associations: Depression, untrustworthy person, disappointment, weakness. Obsessions, compulsive behaviour. Freeing oneself from a type of bondage, seeing the truth behind illusions.

Card 3: Present and Past manifestations - What was happening and still is. Physical.
      Lovers

      Astrological Correspondence: Gemini
Keywords: choice, decision, love, communication (between equals), inspiration (ideas from above).
Description: The Lovers card is representative not only of crucial life choices, but also of lovers, couples, and other partnerships, like business partners, twins, friends etc. The young man between two women, depicted on this card, is symbolic of the struggle of trying to decide whether to follow one's heart or one's temptation/obligation.
The Lovers card symbolises the choices that must be made to progress and grow on the way to higher self awareness; choices also reflect emotional values, indecisiveness, hesitation, and our fears about making the wrong choice. This applies not only to love relationships and marriages, it is applicable to any relationship where people may be drawn together, be it a business partnership or a casual, recreational one. The card of uncertainty!
Upright Associations: Choices, love, harmony and union. Trust, honor, the beginning of a romance, optimism, a meaningful relationship.
Reversed Associations: A bad choice, inability to make a choice, divorce, disagreements. Challenging gender rules, a need to avoid relationships, sexual blocks, jealousy.

Card 4: Past and Present thoughts - What the client has already experienced.
      High Priestess

      Astrological Correspondence: The Moon
Keywords: receptivity, passivity, potential, knowledge, secrets, something about to arrive.
Description: The mysterious High Priestess jealously guards her secrets and occult wisdom. This card symbolises the unconscious, a concern with our internal worlds, spiritual forces, and the understanding of higher truths through dreams and intuition. As a wise woman the High Priestess is the Goddess of fertility and is seen as a healer, possessing intuitive powers, and clairvoyance, trying to create harmony and inner balance. She emphasises the necessity to get in contact with our inner self, to reflect and meditate, to trust our feelings, and to let dreams and intuition guide us. Observing rather than participating or acting the High Priestess can also represent platonic love, manipulation, a pause in a process that was progressing or even a standstill, causing doubt and confusion.
Upright Associations: Intuition, wisdom and secret knowledge, emotional intelligence. Purity, virtue and patience, Stillness, looking inward, subconscious Divine Feminine.
Reversed Associations: Emotional instability, emerging passion, delusion, directing outward. Combining intuition and logic. Activity, shallowness, illusion.

Card 5: Present and Future manifestations - What is to come, unless changed by the client.
      Ace of Coins
      Astrological Correspondence: ****.
      Keywords: new financial ventures.
Description: The Ace of Coins indicates potential for a financial venture. Although the initial seeds of creation are present, proper action must be taken to ensure material gains and prosperity.
Upright Associations: A new business venture, the beginning or essence of prosperity, happiness or pleasure. Abundance, physical energy.
Reversed Associations: Experiencing inner emptiness, loss, insecurity, delay. Material detachment, spiritual power.

      @LastLight
Hi again, I hope I can clarify a couple of things if I may.
The 10 of coins is significant and is certainly connected to your past because this is where the message is coming from (Mercury the messenger). How this will be delivered I'm not sure and I don't know the context of this message. I would have to do a focus spread around the 10 to see if It reveals any clues as to where and what this message could be. I would generally do this if my client asked for clarity on any specific card during the reading but because I have broken from this reading and I can't guarantee it would reveal what I need to be answered.
The 10 is associated with family matters, genealogy and close family ties so this was probably an assumption I made to someone you know or knew. I am not psychic but at times wish I was, so this statement was an honest assumption, no spirit voices or anything like that.
If this assumption doesn't manifest I hold my hands up now.
If you do want me to clarify the 10 of Coins I would be quite happy to do so but only as a separate reading to this one.

I hope this has clarified the area you wanted.

      @LastLight
Hi, I do hope you don't mind if I give you my thoughts on these cards.

You have gone way overboard with over thinking these 3 cards. The more I looked at them, the more intrigued I became as to why you seemed so self indulgent in wanting to blame yourself over some past indiscretion. Was this guilt or was it just a message that your cards were trying to impart to you in a more universal way. Tarot cards may be the tool we use to assist us in divination but they are very spiritual too. They help us to connect to our spiritual self which in turn connects to the spirit world through the Cosmos.
So I checked out the Astrologically Correspondences for the two minor cards as I already know that the JUSTICE card corresponds to Libra and is ruled by Venus but is also exalted (awareness) by Saturn which apart from many associations, is also associated with Karma.

Lo and behold what card was next? The 3 of Swords, which really put the cat among the pigeons. So what is the Astrological Correspondence of this card?
Saturn in Libra! Well I never! Two cards that both have similar AC's, there is definitely a very strong message that someone or maybe something wants you to have.

Now let's take a look at the last card's AC and we find that it represents Mercury in Virgo. Hang on a moment, Virgo is ruled by Mercury (the Messenger) so suddenly the last piece of this puzzle has fallen into place.

A message or thoughts from the past has finally filtered through to the present. This message is NOT a warning. It is telling you to stop pondering in or on past events and to wipe the slate clean. It is now time to move on, simply because whatever these events or situations were, they have held you back and slowed you down to the extent that your life has come to a complete standstill.

The 10 of Coins, the end of cycle and time to start making the right choices for a change. The Justice card is urging you to balance your life; it is certainly not judging you. This message feels like it's coming from someone you know or knew very well.

Well it's time for me to move on, I do hope this helped in some way or another.
      Good luck.

    • RE: Help with interpretation of 4 cards in a "what are their feelings about me" reading?

      @PeΕ₯aKubi
Hi I hope you don't mind if I see if I can try and sort this problem out for you.

I would just like to ask you a question, β€œwhy ask the cards about your partner” when you can ask your partner directly? Either you are sensing or know that something is wrong in your relationship or because suspicion has raised its uggly head and you need answers, then confront them and leave the Tarot cards for more important issues in your life. The Tarot cards will always answer in a truthful way because they sense our subconscious memory and just by thinking they will pick up on those thoughts and react accordingly. When doing face-to-face readings and the client asks what they think is a fair and typical question about their partner, they don't really understand how their thoughts are influencing the cards.

I have done a full reading using your cards and the theme is love and emotions, with five cup cards in the reading. That must indicate something, you have to look at the whole picture which includes a story which you need to be able to interpret. I think you may have got yourself a little worked up when the 5 of Cups appeared. It doesn't always mean doom and gloom, when the tall dark, shadowy figure turns up, no! If I was to take the divinatory meanings literally:-
It is a card of loss, but something remains over; three have been taken, but two are left; it is a card of inheritance, patrimony, transmission, but not corresponding to expectations; with some interpreters it is a card of marriage, but not without bitterness or frustration.
What is the panic about? You have the Ace of Cups which is going to wipe all the negative cards away in one sweep. There isn't even a Major card on the table and so most of what is being shown to you is all everyday stuff. Just like you would get any kind of partnership/relationship. Everyday ups and downs and nothing more.

If you really do need to ask this kind of question then try a different spread that will give you a more understanding of the relationship. Something like a (Needs and Wants) spread. Nine cards, arranged in 3 columns. First column=Needs, middle=Outcome, last column=Wants. Lay the cards, left to right, 1, 2, 3, then 4, 5, 6, and 7, 8, 9. Or turn it into a (My needs versus Their needs) spread.

If you are still not sure then the only thing I can suggest is, ask your partner the question directly.
I nearly forgot! The 7 of Cups, it generally depicts CHOICES. So make your choice.

I hope you and your partner have a very long and happy future together. πŸ’–
