Moon phases and Wicca
I know that when 2 New or Dark Moons occur during the same calendar month, the second one is called the Sidhe Moon. Very powerful "spell energy". We had one last August, in Pisces. Since that is my Sun sign it was especially significant to me. Now, with the Sun in Cancer, there are 2. The first was on June 22, just after the Solstice, and the second will be on July 22, just after the Sun enteres Leo. So, same Moon sign, different Sun signs. Anyone know if there is a name for this and if so, what the significane is?

RE: Tarrot VS Wicca
Each card in the Minor Arcana is assigned a planet in a sign (Cups--water, Swords--air, Wands--fire, Pentacle--earth). The Crowley Thoth deck indicates this on the card. The Major Arcana are assigned a planet and/or a sign--ex: Temperance--Saggitarius, TheDevil--Saturn). Tere is a circular 12-card spread in which each position corresponds with a zodiac House. I use the Croewley deck and also the Faery Wicca deck, which is based on Celtic traditions. The Janina Renee book "Tarot Spells" blends Tarot and Wicca very well.

RE: New Member Welcome!
Hi, I'm lilithsmom (She and her sister Nimue are my Siamese familiars). I've been using this site for years, but it was'nt until the Great Candy Search that I found this place. I've been studying Tarot for going on 30 years and use it as a form of meditation. I use the Crowley Thoth deck mainly but have started to "branch out" . Cards I am drawn to: the Knight of Cups the "Grail Knight" in the Thoth deck. He is my "Soul Guide". I like the Knight of Wands, too and always like to see him show up in readings. The Aces of all suits feel like delightful gifts. The Moon is my Pisces card and the Hermit my Soul Card. I especially like this because his number is 9 and as a Wiccan, I hold this number sacred. (All determined by numerology; see The Tarot Handbook by Angeles Arrien or Tarot for Everyone by Mary K. Greer). Recent surprises: the Tower rarely comes up for me (I can count on one hand with fingers left over), until it showed up in my last 2 readings only a few weeks apart. (The second being Hallowe'en) Y-I-I-I-KES!! But the the Wheel of Fortune showed up twice on Hallowe'en so...
