Long2010 where did your readings go?

  • I can understand admin concerns as well though,

please dont get me wrong, Since thier have been

certain users publicly announce how unsatisfying thier

readings were, which is why i am upset that in a way

they thought they were exposing a negative person

only to realize they've made problems more complicated

with others who can really use the FREE guidance and advice from

users here. Which is im sure a big reason why you guys

are becoming more involved in who's posting what.

    Blessings

  • Long2010- Just wanted to make sure to tell you, you were correct in your statements about me. Wish I knew more!

I hope we don't lose you due to this situation!

  • Admin,

Thank you for your reply to my post.

I stand by to my opinion because I still believe in the differences (reading and guidance).

What I received from Long2010, was guidance and advice which I appreciate very much.

The 'big' accident she mentioned to me happened more than 10years ago and although this is something in the past, I have full respect of her being able to dig that info as I have never shared about this to anyone here ever.

I am being neutral about this issue as I can see your point of view and concern.

I know that legal process cannot be avoided if one decide to claim about 'fake' reading received from this forum from one of the readers here. As this forum belongs to Tarot.com, it will be a case against Tarot if any of this members choose to publicly announce their dissatisfaction. I understand why Tarot cannot take this responsibility.

    Maybe an idea;

why can't Tarot add a DISCLAIMER about not taking any responsibilities on ALL FREE readings given in this forum between members? Tarot is not in anyway liable for the actions of the members. And all readings should be for ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY.

    Just my 2 cents......

    Thanks,

  • Hmmm...having just exited the corporate world...I found that anytime new management took over some part of operations there was always a shake up with the way things were done because someone new believed that the way things were done were the wrong way. And...when something goes wrong....even if it isn't a trend, the subject gets dogpiled and heavily monitored to try and address where the "root cause" of the problem is. I wonder if this isn't the case here. I've been here since January and it has only been recently that there seems to be a presence of Admin on the site other than the Welcome thread. This leads me to believe that somewhere up the corporate line...there have been changes. The Admin here...just doing what they are told to do, whether they are behind it or not, as an employee, they are obligated to uphold the "rules" as written.

OK....here is the legal disclaimer that is posted for the website. It already appears that Tarot.com, i.e., Visionary Networks, Media Communication, LLC has made it clear that they are not responsible for many different things with regard to the website. I have included the corporate chain of command for the website. I have also taken the liberty of copying some of the information I found on the websites for these companies.

Tarot.com.com is produced by Visionary Networks dba Media Community, LLC, a division of NameMedia.

Our sites influence their buying decisions and, in turn, our expert users often influence the buying decisions of family and friends. With extensive content and active communities, NameMedia provides advertisers with a fantastic opportunity to connect directly with the enthusiasts they care about the most.

I saw this one too and I believe this one holds very strongly and 'protect' Tarot.com. I am not in USA so I don't understand the law there but by being a Human Resource Manager in an industry line for many years, I do know how to read a disclaimer a little or less. Especially in industry line, we are very particular with disclaimers as we are 'always' responsible for thousands of people each day if we are not careful.

This is what Admin would say I guess. I believe the the disclaimer above is to protect Tarot.com and not its members. Tarot.com is afraid that dissatisfied member will file a law suit against another member (the one who gives the reading). This is why I am asking Admin what do they think about adding the new disclaimer I mentioned in my previous post. That might release them from being responsible for their members.

  • Here are the forum rules but I do have to say Admin that I had to search for them since they aren't clearly noted anywhere. I happened to find a link you posted in one of the forum topics to this. Maybe the website could be redesigned so that this information is readily available such as the Save this Topic, Create a New Topic buttons are.

    RULES and ETIQUETTE

We are here to promote a clean, healthy, respectful atmosphere where people are not afraid to ask questions, participate in this community and generally have a good time exploring divination tools.

THE RULES: These are here to help you (and others) have an enjoyable experience at Tarot.com. Violation of these rules is grounds for immediate banning of your account.

•No profanity in subject lines or signatures.

•No spamming or commercial solicitation of any kind. Any such messages will be removed at the discretion of either a forum moderator or administrator.

•No flaming of other members to incite or perpetuate a conflict or argument. ANY personal attacks or name calling will get you banned.

•No bombing forums or threads with pointless posts.

•No linking or posting of pornographic or objectionable material.

•Do not impersonate other individuals or falsely represent yourself.

•Do not discuss, suggest, engage, or encourage any illegal activity on the forums. Linking to locations that deal with any such activity are also forbidden.

•Posting under secondary usernames or alias user names other than your main account for the purpose of arguing, degrading or belittling other readers is grounds for having your posting privileges revoked.

•Any messages found to be in violation may be deleted without warning or explanation.

Tarot.com reserves the right to ban any user, at any time, and for any reason.

I will mention that I have reported spammers, thank you for getting rid of them. They are an annoyance. However, there have also many reports of people who are violating this rule.

No flaming of other members to incite or perpetuate a conflict or argument. ANY personal attacks or name calling will get you banned.

I have continued to see these violators time and time again on the forums and I think it distracts from the community that we have and are continuing to build here.

Finally, you have a statement that we may not post information about another member but it does not implicitly state that we may not post our own information. I know that many of us have developed close friendships with the people we have met here....and would like to continue those friendships off of the forum. I understand your concern for privacy and not posting information regarding other members, but since there is no way for us to communicate off forum, could something be put in place where we could contact another member if we chose to?

    Thanks for your help.

  • AuntBuck,

I also being from the corperate world understand in full all what you wrote and I agree I have seen changes myself and I have been around here from last October and share your banning thoughts.

" Finally, you have a statement that we may not post information about another member but it does not implicitly state that we may not post our own information. I know that many of us have developed close friendships with the people we have met here....and would like to continue those friendships off of the forum. "

This I also agree upon. When I got on the forum there was some very hefty arguments between members due to the fact that some of them wanted to keep contact and others just picked their information and privately started a war. I too have found a group of people that I call my friends and also would love to contact privately but I don't dare (next to the fact that it isn't allowed) to post due to the fact that people have issues and would take that information to molest offline.

So I too am intrigued if Tarot is willing to do this. I don't think they need to worry for dissapearance from members due to that choice because the topics that matters needs the online interaction. I saw a survey perhaps that is what Tarot is aiming for I am not sure. I saw other developments that I said hmmm to but this could be to what you already stated new management.

  • Hey Longo2010 and all who responded in this thread....

Im sorry that your goodness and selflessness in wanting to help people understand themselves had gotten tossed. I too was interested in hearing about my birthchart, especially with all of these "T" crosses and all of the outerplanets that are hustling and moving about, trying to make sense of what society is now bringing upon us and how it affects each and everyone of us, BUT when it comes right down to it, this site needs to make money. I dont care what blah blah non-sense pertaining to rules and regulations that Admin is claiming, when it comes right down to it, its all about the almighty dollar.... Something that is pretty scarce these days. This site offers those services for a fee. They are not going to have someone come along and rip them off. What makes it any different than what The Captain is doing???? PUUUUUUUULEASE. What a shame...

Anyway.. have a wonderful day all.. Blessings to each of you.

  • Yes SagGirl01,

Some might hate me for saying this but why are some deleted and some not?

If the rules says strictly no personalized readings, then delete all threads which gives out personalized readings. Doesn't matter WHO. That is fair.

  • Admin,

    You mentioned this;

Personalized readings are not allowed for a variety of reasons:

    1. because we have had issues in the past, and

    2. because we cannot verify the accuracy of these readings

    3. nor can we tell if the information was lifted without permission for another site to name a few.

I believe this disclaimer below already covers the reasons above. This gives Tarot.com the protection from any legal claims, especially from dissatisfied / ungrateful members who did not appreciate the free readings given to them.

    LIABILITY DISCLAIMER
