Stranger2, your friend's issues are -
LOVE
Addiction to passion without affection
Unrequited love
Insatiable urge to pursue impossible love
Affairs that go nowhere
Infantile need for attention
Propensity for romantic tragedy
Feeling unwanted as a child
How to get your power back - allowing others freedom and space, relating more fully to another person, letting children go, giving up personal love for a greater cause, outgrowing the thrill of high-risk gambling, appreciating the vast resources of people at your disposal, and loving all beings - freed from traditional bondsand conventional attachments.
RELIGION
Fantasies about the perfect mate
Looking for answers
Praying to a deaf God
Absurdity of a college degree
Pain of education
Brain damage
Irrelevance of religion
Restlessness
Racial/ethnic prejudice
How to get your power back - making connections and reaching out, learning by doing, renouncing archaic systems of belief, shedding cultural bias, and trusting your own perceptions.

GJay, your issues are -
INDEPENDENCE
Annoyance at having to live your life through other people
Depression resulting from inability to express anger appropriately
Low self-esteem
Fear of not being able to make it on your own
Crushed gender identification
Weak identification with same-sex parent
Abuse or having been put down in childhood
Overattachment to Self
Dislike of being alone
How to get your power back - developing the ability to be in a relationship without resorting to manipulation or control, and validating others without losing yourself or pleasing them insincerely for fear that truth will result in abandonment, cooperation and compromise, giving credit and thanks to others, and learning to listen and be sensitive to others.

Africanqn, your issues are
MARRIAGE:
Obsession with having somebody
Disappointment in one you've leaned on
Commitment to a self-destructive person
Embarassment for what your mate is
Poor role model from opposite **** parent
Men draining women, woman dominating men
Someone not being there when you need them
Wanting to be rescued by a white knight
How to get your power back: by being strong and independent, maintaining your identity as a couple, relating without guilt, allowing people their pain and weakness without feeling you have to cure it, not idealising people then being crushed when they turn out to be human, and shedding false notions about marriage.
FREEDOM:
Separations from dear friends
Being scapegoated
Being left out
Not wanting something once you get it
The disintergration of a tight group
Uncertain direction
The politics of democracy
Cliques and forces eroding group unity
Feeling you don't belong
Avoiding intimacy by finding safety in numbers
How to get your power back - accepting a parenting role, overcoming fear of being close and needed, enjoying romance without hiding behind groups and causes, letting friends go when they must, not testing people where you know they can't comply, recognising differences between people without judging them, exploring creativity for its own sake, and giving up liberty for personal happiness.

ESCAPE
Obsession with spooky sensations
Thoughts of something going on behind your back
The belief that pain can be avoided
Fantasies
Overinvolvement with fiction
Wrong medication
Sorrow nobody knows about
Religious vs spiritual training
The urge to deviate
Terror of hard work
How to get your power back - curbing your down time and getting back to old-fashioned practical productivity by forcing yourself to work, accepting daily life, being able to receive criticism as well as give it, avoiding exit signs that lead to brick walls, finding out there's no quick fix, standing in the dark and leading blind souls, trading romance for reality, developing craftsmanship, finding fulfillment in the here and now, returning to natural health, diligence and discipline, and utilitarianism.

True2yourself, your issues are -
COMMUNICATION
Frustration at not being heard or understood
Language barriers
Speech impediments
Addiction to immature behaviour
Instincts that are stronger than conscience
How to get back your power - continuing education, thinking in bigger terms, developing mental faculties that heal splits, shedding the drone of meaningless chatter, developing respect for your own mind, telling the whole truth and nothing but, and searching for wisdom - not an audience.

Stranger2, at least you will be understanding and sympathetic if you are going through the same thing. And when a problem is identified, it makes it much easier to work things out and find a solution. As they say, 'where there's a will, there's a way'!.
-
yes. there does seem to be an undercurrent of unspoken understanding.probably why we are so drawn to each other. and why we cant let go. i just wish it was a smoother ride sometimes! its like we both want to experience deep love but both seem incapable at times, someone always seems to be running! thanks
-
