Joy of beauty and freedom....

  • today I was reading a book and there was a quote that reached the darkest corners of my soul. The story was about a rich and famous man who always found a way to get what he wanted. He hunted animals but he used alternative methods. He baited them very slowly. By the end, the animals were begging to be trapped to get the "prize", and they were completely aware of it. When asked how he did this, he said:

"I treat animals the same way I treat people: I give them what they want. I give them food and shelter. In exchange, they give me their beauty and freedom."

I am thankful for my freedom. I will live every day by my beliefs, regardless of the prize I may think I lost. Because each time it turned out that the real prize was worth so much more spiritually...
