Please can I have a reading to assist me through the difficult time
-
In 2015 I was planning for my future and making my home fit for purpose. Then the actions of a sub-contractor destroyed everything. Since then I have repeatedly tried to find a way back to how my life was in 2015 and implement my plans. During lockdown I looked at the problem and documented everything I wanted to be done even if it was just wishful thinking. I posted it to my landlord but I am still to receive an answer 6 months later.
I feel trapped in a box waiting. Waiting for someone to just say yes I can do the work. Instead they are making my life hell by refusing to communicate. As a result I am having a relapse and am in lockdown. I feel that if I do not get the work done soon I will never have a home.
Question: What do I have to do to move forward?

Isn't there some rental tribunal you can complain to?
-
@Jayann I'm sorry to hear that this has happened to you. If your landlord has ignored you, it might be time to look into the situation from a legal standpoint.

@Craig3585
I have had the help of a "lawyer" and have taken this problem to the next level.

@TheCaptain
No there is no tribunal I can go to but I have put in a formal complaint and taken it to stage two and some one has just suggested my repetitiveness in all levels of government.

@Jayann you can apply to the First-Tier Tribunal (Property Chamber - Residential Property) if you’re a landlord, tenant, freeholder, leaseholder, park home occupier or site owner. The tribunal is independent of government and will listen to both sides of the argument before making a decision. You may want to get help and advice before you apply - contact Leasehold Advisory Service or Citizens Advice.
