Dear Captain, a reading? Possible love - Scorpio and Virgo

  • @TheCaptain you're so very right. He's probably just as worried. I know what I have to do, I just don't think I have the confidence to be rejected and/or face him again if it doesn't go well. Do you happen to see a good future with us? I guess if there's something positive, it might give me hope or confidence to move forward.

I haven't replied to his last message to me, due to it not really being a question to move the conversation forward.

  • @ScorpVirgo , your love future with this guy is blank and open, because you have not yet created anything concrete to move forward with.

  • @TheCaptain I sent him a message tonight and he replied immediately. We talked a little bit but then he sort of cut the conversation short and told me he needs to get to bed. I'm a little out of sorts on how to keep this going with him. It's quite difficult, and I dont even know how I can flow into asking him if he's open to anything more than friends if I cant even get him to speak with me for longer than 15-20 minutes. I dont want to have to keep initiating conversation and looking desperate.

  • @ScorpVirgo "just do it!" This waiting is exhausting you.

  • @TheCaptain - Gah! This is all so scary for me. I don't think I've been in this kind predicament before. You're right, it's driving me crazy! I just know that if I ask, and he rejects me, I will go into a very dark place. I don't fall for people (or develop crushes) very easy, and I like to think of myself as someone who connects with people's vibes/souls and have an intuitive pull/attraction to only certain people. So it's devastating to me when I try and fail, especially in love. I do know that Virgo's typically need crystal clear yes/no before they dive in to start any kind of romantic connection with anyone. I guess maybe that's what he's looking for? Until then we're in limbo....

  • @ScorpVirgo you are blocking your own progress. This relationship will go nowhere unless you act fast. That is the real failure, the lack of action.

  • @TheCaptain - I was able to connect with him last night, and ask him what he was doing over the holiday coming up (just to see if he mentions a girlfriend of anything). He mentioned that he usually just stays home and spends time with his friends. He also then asked me what I typically do for the holiday and I told him that I spend time with my family cooking/baking. I think we are both of the same understanding now that we are both single. He was quite communicative last night, and I'm hoping to keep with this trend. I'm still quite apprehensive with this whole situation, but I guess I need to take it one day at a time. I wish I knew how he truly felt about me, but I am hoping it will develop more as the days go by.

  • @ScorpVirgo nobody ever knows for sure how another person is feeling unless they tell you. Love is a chancy business but the pay-off is well worth it. Why not invite him to Christmas dinner if he usually spends it at home?

  • @TheCaptain - I would invite him over, except he lives about a 14 hour drive away up North. Since we met in our online University program, this has to remain strictly phone/email related until if/when he's ready to take another step with me (or I him). I wish we lived in the same city so we could see each other. I'm just hoping it continues to progress positively, although I'm seeing very SLOW progress. I don't know why I feel this deep connection with him already, when we barely even know each other. However, I've always been picky with whom I connect with romantically and it doesn't just happen on a whim.

Although I do care if it works out with this Virgo, if it doesn't do you see a future with me finding a romantic lover? I've been alone for quite some time and I am usually fine being alone, with work, school, and family time to fulfill me, but it would be nice to have someone to spend time with in the long-term.

  • @ScorpVirgo then say you wish you could invite him for coffee or Christmas. Say you feel like there is a connection between you. His response should tell you what you need to know.

  • @TheCaptain - I'll definitely have to work the "wish I could invite you" into my communication somehow :). I hope I can soon enough tell him I feel that there is a deeper connection between us, and he responds positively.

It's my birthday today! Would it be possible to get a reading on where my life is headed in the next year? Career wise, it's been a little bit of a tumultuous year (with COVID) and my industry has been hit EXTRA hard. I'm getting my higher degree to progress upward in my division, but unsure on if I will be getting that opportunity in my current company, or if I need to move? I am also planning on trying to start building a house early next year - it's been something on the books for about 3-4 years now and roadblocks keep popping up (job loss, instability of income, COVID, etc). I am really hoping it happens next year as I've been a little unhappy with my current living situation. And of course, my romantic outlook - do you see anything good for me in the future?

Just overall curious about life, love, and everything! Hoping for much needed big changes this coming year!

  • 2021 is the end of a cycle for you, so here’s the plan. If you made it through 2020, there’s nothing that can hold you back now. Last year you worked with some core issues related to your sense of empowerment on all levels - spiritually, emotionally, physically, and/or financially. And now you’re readying to clear the canvas and decide what stays and what goes - what you want to build upon and what needs to dissolve and fall away. Part of the beauty and difficulty of 2021 for you will be to have the ability to evaluate memory and the story you have about certain things, certain expectations, certain behaviours - and determine what is real for you and what isn’t. What serves you and what stifles you. What allows you to evolve and what holds you hostage. It’s about conclusions, letting go, and surrender. If you choose to embrace its energy and direction, 2021 for you can be a year of completion, of unravelling, of letting go of the old to make space for change. This change can be somewhat dramatic and tumultuous; possessions, relationships, job, geographical location, spirituality, health. It’s all under review this year. This is the year that’s inviting (oh, let’s be honest, it’s forcing you) you to move on to an even more expansive cycle in your life if you choose to let go and allow what’s no longer serving you to fall away. This is also a year where you can revel in the successful culmination of all that you’ve been working toward for the past eight years. It’s going to be a matter of evaluating what’s finished and no longer necessary for you and then moving forward without a safety net. It's like people who are in a relationship that’s over with, and yet they won’t get a divorce or break up with their partner until they have another love interest waiting in the wings. Well, metaphorically speaking, 2021 won’t allow you to put things like that off. You must break off whatever thing or person in your life is not working for you, and then manage and master that empty space of nothingness for a while. Needless to say, even the best of us are scared silly when it comes to change. And then to change something without knowing exactly what’s next. That's very hard. Yet that’s what’s required this year. The tricky part? You’ll need to integrate the active, initiating energy of the year with your intensely emotional need for letting go. Get ready for lessons surrounding your sense of empowerment. You’ll be met with pivotal opportunities to learn deep lessons and move into the new 'you'. Your way must be clear and your life free of 'clutter' for the new beginnings, the whole new chapter of your life that is coming. You cannot start a new life with old 'baggage' dragging you down. This year you must let go of things that are no longer valid for you. For example, you may have an urge to "spring clean" both in a literal and a figurative sense, discarding everything that no longer serves your greatest good. The lesson is to do so with grace and gratitude. You are getting ready for the new and cannot be burdened by the old. This is a year of force and change, and a year when decisions will have to be made. 2021 will bring with it a wide variety of experiences and opportunities for you. If you have done the releasing work of the year, your last three months should bring a sense of freedom, enjoyment and awakening. You are bringing to a conclusion what you have learned and created, and are now integrating it into your present life.

During 2021, you are heading towards the beginning of another new chapter in 2022, so at times you may feel as though your life is in suspended animation. There may be a lack of energy to push ahead for what you want as you are still completing issues from the last few years, and you cannot go back to what you have left behind. The most supportive attitude to take during this year is to relax and ease up about situations, so that your life can flow and allow the right circumstances to happen naturally. There may be constant transformation in your life, and it can feel as though you are shedding your skin and growing a new one. At times, you may have a loss of faith in yourself or the future, but that is because you are developing a new outlook on life and it may take a while to process. You may radically change your diet, alter your hairstyle, buy completely new clothes, or go out with someone whom you may not have previously even considered. You may discover or rediscover your passions for art and music during this time. Anything is possible because you’re totally open to life. This year, you are also clearing emotional issues, which at times may make you feel physically wiped out or grumpy. Indeed, you may feel an urgency to come clean and express yourself honestly in order to be able to start all over again. However, there is no point criticising yourself for what you did not do, or for opportunities that you did not take; it is wasted energy. Now is the time to learn your lessons and move on. As you are letting go of old issues and forgiving the past, there may be much relief, along with feelings of liberation and joy. During this time, you may turn deeply inwards to your spirituality or find yourself interested in the religious sphere. Perhaps you will develop an acute interest in current affairs and find you are genuinely more interested in humanity’s welfare than ever before, or you may offer your help to the local community. You may feel like travelling; you are likely to be eager to discover new lands and different cultures which can improve your knowledge of the world and expand your spiritual awareness. 2021 may feel a little like sitting an exam where you are anticipating your mark at the end of it. However, only you decide if you pass or fail this time; you are the one giving yourself the Brownie points, so judge yourself kindly and feel happy in the knowledge that you have done your best. You will likely feel a tremendous amount of excitement about what is to come but, at the same time, you may have some fears about letting go. Remember that the more you let go of, the more room there is in your life to be filled during the coming year. 2021 can be a year where you experience a magical transformation that you’ve been waiting on for a very long time.

    Benefits of the Year:
You’ll feel a compulsion to reevaluate all aspects of your life and make decisions to become involved in some area of service with a humanitarian focus, big or small. You’ll feel a great sense of compassion this year.
You’ll feel empowered when you know that this is a tumultuous year and so you need to meet up with all that comes your way with the least resistance.
You’ll have success when you have a solid spiritual base from which to operate, however you define your spirituality.
You’ll have the opportunity to redesign any aspect of your life that needs to be expanded or eliminated.
You’ll feel an undeniable intensity and urgency surrounding you and your decisions this year.

    Potential Challenges of the Year:
Be aware that you’ll be challenged with codependency issues and issues related to letting go of old attachments.
Protect yourself from depression and anxiety by allowing this to be a year where you lay down the paddles and allow the Universe to guide your boat.
Be prepared for defaulting into cynicism and intolerance, as you’ll be challenged with needing to see the bigger picture even though that picture looks blurry at the moment.

The Questions you must ask yourself in 2021: “How can I let go of everything that’s no longer serving me and my higher sense of myself?” “How can I let go of all that I no longer need in order to make space for change to enter into my life?” Can you open yourself to total transformation?

  • @TheCaptain - wow, thank you so much! Looks like a LOT will be changing for me in the coming 2 years. I'm definitely looking forward to what all these changes, and letting go, all mean. I see that there will be dramatic changes with relationships, job, and geographical location, along with health. Can you help me understand further what that means? Do you see me moving to another city for a job?

  • @ScorpVirgo - not until 2022 and only if you purge all that you don't need in 2021. This also relates to fears and insecurities.

  • @TheCaptain - I guess I have a lot of work to do! By the way, I mentioned to the Virgo guy that if he lived here, I would have invited him over for the holiday, and he replied "Thanks, likewise". LOL, I honestly didn't know how to read into that reply. I think he's just trying to be friendly. I'm still very unsure of how he feels. I'm going to continue trying to keep the friendship until he trusts me enough to go further (if any). Maybe he's been hurt in the past, who knows?

  • @TheCaptain - unfortunately this Virgo man has disappeared for about 4-5 days. We were speaking regularly, then suddenly nothing. I sent him a few messages on Friday with no reply since. I dont want to bother him if I'm annoying him or if he's no longer interested. I just feel like I'm getting major mixed signals.

  • @ScorpVirgo yeah, don't push him.

  • @TheCaptain - thank you. I just dont get it. Things were going decently. I think I made it pretty clear that I'm interested in getting to know him better. Can you tell me if he has any romantic interest in me at all?

  • I am getting extreme wariness and confusion from this guy - he doesn't know what you want from him. I also get a sense of him having family problems that are taking his attention.

  • @TheCaptain - thanks so much. Maybe I didnt make myself as clear as I thought with my interest in him. Are Virgos usually super cut and dry, as in you literally have to spell it out for them that you're interested? If he's dealing with family drama, I will definitely leave him alone. It's just been a whole week since my last message to him, so I thought I'd send another gentle message asking if he's doing ok.
