Regret, why do we experience this? A philosophical Question
-
A philosophical question:
Is regret the product of guilt, lost opportunity.
How does one get rid of regret and the feelings of sadness, disappointment, emptiness and lost
What do you think and what is your experience.

regret is self punishment. The inability to forgive spills over onto others. We can not let go or forgive others until we can forgive ourselves. Also, regret is a selfish energy when it grows beyond the action of lesson learned. People who are self destructive are so deep into themselves and their own self inflicted pain they cannot be empathetic to others and relationships do not blossom. They blindly are too self absorbed in their pain. When it comes to regret our free will choice is to come out BITTER OR BETTER.

Regret is a misunderstanding that we are here to learn by our mistakes and grow wiser. Every situation holds a valuable lesson - that is what we should focus on seeing, not wallowing in regret which does not help at all.
