Trick/key to interpret each card as obstacle in celtic!

I face a major dilemma while interpreting the meaning of any card in the obstacle position in the celtic spread. Do I:
A- Reverse/contradict their meanings totally or,
B- Let the basic meaning be the same but reduce its effect.
eg, Justice(doing things the legal/right way) as obstacle in a business related question mean that
A- injustice is going to happen to him or
B- querent's righteousness or doing things the legal/right way is not favouring him ?
