Curious connection

  • Hi there!

I've recently started talking to this guy I met through a dating site. We haven't met yet but have moved from online chatting to long nightly conversations on the phone. I'm a full blown Leo 8/17/1979 and he's a Taurus/Gemini cusp 5/21/1978. He seems interested and genuine but I'm a little gun-shy based on past online dating experiences. Would love to hear what (if any) potential is here. Any insight? Thanks a lot!

  • SGG, acknowledging personal emotions is the underlying theme of this relationship. The two of you must try to understand and accept not only your own and each other's feelings, but those of people outside the relationship, and you must apply that understanding in social situations. This is the relationship's greatest challenge. It can only be successful if each person's feelings are mastered; emotional repression can only lead to frustration, anxiety and depression. Feelings must be dealt with maturely, and with patience, trust and understanding. These qualities don't come easily to either of you but they can be attained with hard work. The fact that this is not an unrealistic goal speaks well for this pairing.

As individuals, the two of you share three problems: a lack of deep self-understanding, a low threshold of patience, and a capacity for considerable self-involvement. A love affair or marriage can often worsen such tendencies to the point where it becomes doubtful that the relationship will last long enough to implement some of the emotional management it needs. Should a deep love emerge, however, it can be accompanied by a willingness to endure the necessary exertion.

Socially inclined and extremely popular, in affairs of the heart your friend has a tendency to expect others to fall in line with his demands. Once he has learned the importance of give and take in a relationship, however, he can make a generous and committed partner. He likes a devoted relationship because he is looking for emotional security and stability, and is happiest when in such a devoted one. He must learn however to take time out to recharge his mental and physical health and pay more attention to his loved ones.

Since the man craves emotional security, the two of you may see sparks fly when your temper boils over. Your Achilles' Heel is your argumentative, stubborn nature. You can be extremely defensive and aggressive at times, and your occasional rages can horrify this man. You will need to show self-control if you want the relationship to work. You do make a passionate, loyal, generous, and loving partner, SGG; being friendly and sociable, you should have many friends and admirers. You are attracted to creative, intense people like yourself but would thrive best with someone who is capable of drawing out your passions but who is also calm and consistent. In late 2015 or early 2016, there will be a significant turning point for you that highlights your social relationships and partnerships and brings great luck to them.
